Two of the Deadliest, an Anthology

“Lisa Alber’s ‘Paddy O’Grady’s Thigh’…is a superb piece of storytelling.”

two of the deadliest

One of my short stories appeared in New York Timesbestselling author Elizabeth George’s anthology, TWO OF THE DEADLIEST, New Tales of Lust, Greed, and Murder from Outstanding Women of Mystery. You’ll find a slew of well-known novelists, plus a few newbies like me.

Elizabeth George has been and continues to be one of my literary heroes, so I was flabbergasted, thrilled, and terrified when she invited me to submit a story to her anthology. The story is called “Paddy O’Grady’s Thigh” and features a cameo appearance by Detective Sergeant Danny Ahern, who stars in Kilmoon.

I met Elizabeth George at a writers’ retreat. In this photo, she’s giving me craft tips about how to improve a rancorous father-daughter scene that still exists in Kilmoon today. I learned so much from her that I went on to work with her in two subsequent workshops.
