County Clare Mystery #2, title to be revealed soon

Current publication date: August 2016 by Midnight Ink Books

Stay tuned for the official title, cover art, and more information!

Meanwhile, here’s what it’s about:

It’s September in Lisfenora village, Ireland, and a strange fog has rolled in off the Atlantic. Along with the fog comes tales of Grey Man, a predatory faery that snatches innocent souls into its gloom. Little does Detective Sergeant Danny Ahern know that he’s about to encounter his own grey man when a teenage boy dies in his arms and the investigation turns into a cat-and-mouse game with a man who might as well be a figment.

The investigation hits too close to home when Danny’s estranged wife is brutally attacked and left comatose. Danny knows the truth resides within the lost memories of a mute woman, if only he could find a way to shake those memories loose. He also knows that he has lost objectivity when it comes to finding the man who attacked his wife–who might or might not be the killer, who might or might not be the man who had an affair with his wife.

He wants the truth and he’s willing to break a few rules to get it. Unfortunately, a phantom graffiti artist and a second murder complicate his efforts. In the end, Danny receives surprise help from a dog named Bijou and discovers that the murderer is more predatory than any faery of local lore.

County Clare Mystery #3, working title: Touch of Death

Current publication date: August 2017 by Midnight Ink Books

Currently writing this one and I can tell you this much: Reappearance of a beloved character from Kilmoon (a few other cameo appearances too), an unusual murder weapon, and life and death choices. This might change, it might not … Only the writer gods know at this point. Cheers!
